The scene above is of Old Station Road in Loughton from the early 1950s with the old fire station that was built in 1935.
By 1964 a new larger station was opened on the opposite side of the road.
The old building was kept until the 1990s and used for a time as council offices for the Town Hall close by.
It was demolished to make way for the Sainsbury’s supermarket.
