The Guardian Series is appealing for readers to pay tribute to those we have lost and those who have stepped forward during the coronavirus pandemic.

Covid-19 has changed every aspect of our lives since the first cases in the UK almost a year ago.

We have endured three lockdowns, with limitations on where we can go, what we can do and who we can see.

Most heartbreaking is the number of people taken before their time by the virus - some elderly or vulnerable but others in the prime of their lives.

But we have also been inspired by people who have helped deliver food and essentials, raise funds for charities or simply provided vital human contact to the lonely and vulnerable.

Now we would like to give our readers the chance to share life stories and memories of those who died, and pay tribute those who have helped pull their community together.

To contribute, simply click on the link below and tell us the person’s name, age and where they were from, as well as some words you would like to be included and a photograph.
