A community project was once again blessed with a visit from the Easter Bunny as almost 1,000 chocolate eggs were given out to families and communities.

Volunteers dressed up as the character as 3food4u handed out Easter Eggs that had been donated to the charity which has been providing vital support to those in need throughout the pandemic.

Izzy Kearin was the bunny on Tuesday and she gave out the eggs that had been donated by individuals and businesses, including Jo Setterfield from Daniel Robinson & Sons Epping.

The charity held another community surplus hub at All Saints Church, Chigwell, on Wednesday where the bunny – Maura Burns – handed out more than 400 chocolate eggs thanks to the efforts of Neo Naha and his parents Rina and Sanj on behalf of the Treats for Kids organisation.

More Easter Egg treats were given out by Easter Bunny Sara Housden on Thursday at Zinc Arts.

3food4u also distributed toothbrushes and toothpastes that had been donated by Community Dental Services UK.

On Easter Friday and Bank Holiday Monday, Mersaides Fowler dressed up as the bunny to bring smiles to the faces of more children and families.

Lee Motola, a global scholar hosted by the Rotary Club of London, will be the guest speaker at tomorrow's meeting at 7pm.

Pradip Mistry is due to be the speaker on Thursday, April 15 at the earlier time of 6.30pm, while on Saturday, April 17 the club will be staging a Zoom bingo night in aid of Chigwell Riding Trust at 7.30pm.

Angela Jestico is due to speak at the club's meeting on Thursday, April 22, again at the earlier time of 6.30pm.
