Epping High Street is pictured in the early 1900s showing the water fountain that was erected in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee.
It was pulled down in 1961 as part of the high street refurbishment.
The fountain was lost to the town for many years, but finally discovered buried under the Bakers Lane car park.
It was refurbished and unveiled once more in 1989 by Councillor Ann Miller.
