Pictured above is the High Street in Epping around 1912 showing the Duke of York public house.

The building was quite unique in that it had a shop at both ends under one roof.

The site is now occupied by a building society

The site is now occupied by a bank

It was demolished in 1931 after trading for over 103 years, to be replaced by the bank building you see today.
