A man from Yorkshire was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Loughton on Tuesday.
Police officers were called to Church Hill at about 11am on May 4 to reports a male was allegedly attempting to gain entry to a home.
Following a short foot chase, the man was arrested at 11.25 am in York Road by officers from from the Epping Forest Police Community Safety Team and Local Policing Team.
A 30-year-old man from Halifax, Yorkshire, has since been charged with attempted burglary of a dwelling and fraudulent use of index plates by Loughton Criminal Investigation Department.
