A FUNERAL provider in York has undergone a refurbishment thanks to an investment of more than £130,000.
Co-op Funeralcare has unveiled a new look at its Haxby funeral home, in Ryedale Court, and added a meeting room for use by community groups.
David Knowles, regional operations manager, said: “The investment in our Haxby funeral home enables us to provide sector-leading facilities and continue to provide the high-standards of care Co-op Funeralcare prides itself on.
"We’re delighted to unveil the fresh, modern look which enables us to continue to support families in a calm, private and dignified setting. It is our privilege to support communities as they navigate the loss of a loved one.”
The funeral home, which supports three jobs, has been carbon neutral since 2011 with its electricity coming from renewable sources.
