A CITY-wide survey designed to gather the views of residents and businesses to help shape future plans for York ends this week.

City of York Council's My City Centre York vision, once approved, will guide investment plans and shape development and improvement projects in York city centre for decades to come.

The local authority has been listening to people over the past 18 months to establish what they would like to see in York city centre in the future. The latest My City Centre consultation closes on Thursday, September 30.

The feedback has helped to shape ideas for the city centre, and the council now aims to test those within a draft vision, which currently covers topics such as: a family-friendly city centre; events, experiences and investment in public spaces; an attractive city at all times; making tourism work for York; embracing our riverside; thriving businesses and no empty buildings; and celebrating heritage and making modern history.

There is still time to join the conversation and get involved. View the full vision at www.york.gov.uk/MyCityCentreYork or complete a survey to share your views on the recommendations at My City Centre Draft Vision Survey (surveymonkey.co.uk)
