Two guns have been found at a charity shop in Woodford.
A volunteer staff member at High Street’s Oxfam made the discovery before contacting police earlier this week.
The Met Police tweeted on Wednesday that they found a revolver and a black handgun with a detachable magazine.
“Both firearms were secured and taken off our streets,” they added.
Safer Neighbourhoods Team – Churchfield Ward. PCSO 7010EA was informed that two firearms were found at the OXFAM Charity Shop, Woodford High Road. One revolver and one black handgun with detachable magazine. Both firearms were secured and taken off our streets.

It is currently unclear how they may have got there and whether anyone has been arrested.
Police have been contacted for more details.
