London commuters are facing chaos this Tuesday morning with the first of two Tube strikes taking place.

The strike sees all underground service closed until midnight as over 10,000 London Underground workers walk out.

On Monday there were some last effort attempts to hold off the strikes but the talks only lasted 20 minutes and saw Transport for London (TfL) warn commuters to expect "severe disruption."

The only train transport links in operation today are the London Overground, TfL Rail, DLR, London Trams, and the National Rail, but all are expected to be a lot busier than usual.

Although TfL encouraged workers to work from home if possible, many have been unable to and are facing busy buses, long queues, and higher prices.

Many travelers across the capital have been sharing their experience this morning with one user sharing pictures of bus queues outside Liverpool Street Station.

Normally the streets would be busy with people running to catch a train from the station but are today all for buses.

Elsewhere in Victoria bus station one user is warning people to avoid coming into central London unless necessary as queues build up.

With the DLR remaining open, it is facing a lot more traffic and users than on a typical Tuesday morning.

Some commuters who usually opt for a taxi hire today shared the rise in prices, with one user showing a normal £25 journey costing more than £100 today.

Another user shared his thoughts with a video showing people trying to get on a bus heading for Fulham from Liverpool Street.
