As London Underground workers are preparing to strike, commuters are planning how they will get around the capital.

But now there is a free and easy way to travel, as Halfords is offering commuters affected by the strikes to chance to use an electric bike for free to get to work this week.

The high street retailer is offering electric bike loans across all of its 404 stores nationwide.

It comes as a way to help those impacted by the rail strikes taking place on Tuesday, June 21, Thursday, June 23, and Saturday, June 25.

And if you fancy the free ride, then all you have to do is have a valid season ticket.

The trials are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, so you'll need to be quick and there is also one important thing you'll need to know.

As users are required to put down a deposit of £101 that will be refunded once they return the electric bike but the deposit allows you to use the bike for the whole week.

Plus there's even a way for those who don't have a season ticket to try out the scheme.

As Halfords will also be accepting the equivalent weekly or daily tickets that will cover a seven-day loan period.

To get the bike, you will need to head to your local store and show two forms of ID.
