The first premises of the newly formed Chingford Urban District Council (UDC) at 34 Station Road.
The council was formed in 1894 and moved into the shop front two years later at a rental of £25 per annum.
By 1929 the council moved to a purpose built Town Hall on The Ridgeway.
In the 1980s the premises were occupied by TSB bank followed by Lloyds.

The bank is to close its doors for the last time on April 25, 2023.
