WITH just over a week to go until the big day, the programme for this year’s Wanstead Festival has been announced.
The annual event, which is being held this month on Sunday, September 14 on Christchurch Green, will see a large variety of performers, stalls and fun activities for families to enjoy.
Musical acts include Uncle Ray, The New Giants, the Council's RMS Brass Quintet and Intermediate Choir, and Wanstead High School’s Jazz Band.
A climbing wall, a theatre production of Aladdin and a special volleyball tournament organised by the area’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team will all be available for youngsters to enjoy.
Visitors can also expect a wide variety of stalls and exhibitions from regional organisations and groups.
There will be no parking available on the day, so Redbridge Council is encouraging visitors to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the event, which runs from 11am till 5pm.
