BISHOP’S Stortford-based live indie night Club Blub is celebrating its first birthday, with an exclusive acoustic performance from Billy Lunn, frontman from raucous rockers The Subways.
Billy will perform at The Half Moon, on North Street, Bishop’s Stortford, on Saturday.
James Webb, one of the Club Blub promoters, said: “We’re over the moon about having Billy down to play our birthday gig. It’s going to be really interesting to hear how we reworks The Subways songs on an acoustic guitar, and a real privilege to see him in such a small venue as The Half Moon.
“After a year of great music in Bishop’s Stortford, it will certainly be the perfect way to celebrate our one year anniversary!”
Billy will play first on a bill that includes Herts-based angular guitar popsters Look See Proof, regal rock trailblazers Kingsize and Bishops Stortford's fast-rising Weller-alikes The Pins.
Organisers are providing a few special treats, including birthday cake and goody bags.
The night opens at 7.30pm and Billy is expected on stage soon after 8pm. Tickets are £5 in advance (plus 50p booking fee) from the wegottickets site in related links.
A small allocation of £6 door tickets will be available on the day.
