A Harlow pub is aiming to raise £1,500 over three days in support of a children’s charity.
Gemma Madden, who manages The William Aylmer pub, in Kitson Way, is hosting a range of fundraising activities at the pub on Friday, October 3, and Saturday October 4.
In addition, staff will be raising money themselves by taking part in a football competition on Sunday, October 5.
The fundraising weekend is part of a £1m challenge taking place in all Wetherspoon pubs across the UK.
The company’s pub staff and customers are aiming to raise the seven-figure sum for CLIC Sargent, a charity which supports children and young people with cancer.
Gemma said: “The fundraising events will give our customers the opportunity to have fun and support a wonderful charity at the same time.”
