YOUNGSTERS with the Loughton-based Theatretrain theatre company will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday.

Sixty young people will be making the journey to appear in the musical extravaganza “I don’t feel like dancing!”

Theatretrain was founded in east London in 1992 and since then has produced annual shows in London’s West End and throughout Great Britain.

Past venues include The Theatre Royal Drury Lane, The Dominion and the world famous London palladium, home to “the sound of music”

The Loughton group will be among 1,500 Theatretrain students performing before a sell-out 5,000-strong audience.

The show focuses on dance and song. The Loughton Branch of Theatretrain was one of the first in the country and since its opening has helped found a now pioneering theatre curriculum which covers storytelling, sound, movement and attitude.

Theatretrain focuses on providing Training in the Performing Arts for young people aged six to 18.

The weekly drama, dance and singing classes are built around the idea of fun, confidence building, team work and developing those young imaginations.

The curriculum provides a step by step understanding of the performing arts and previous experience is not necessary.

Theatretrain Loughton uses the well-equipped facilities of Roding Valley High School.
