A KIND-HEARTED cab driver is having all his hair shaved off on Christmas Eve to raise money for charity after one of his friends was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Graham Musguin, 41, who works for VIP Cars in Debden Broadway hopes to raise hundreds of pounds from the event for Breast Cancer Research UK, and has been feverishly signing up family, friends and customers to sponsor him.

He said: “It's very important to me to do this. I've lost some of my family to cancer and one of my friends has recently been diagnosed, so I just wanted to do everything I can.

“It's always women who raise money for breast cancer charities so I thought it's about time men like me did something to help too.

“I think it's going to be strange to see it all go – but I'm drawing the line at having my eyebrows shaved off, that's a bit too far.”

Mr Musguin will undergo the scissors at his local hairdressers, Foxy's Barber Shop, in Loughton High Road.

Jo Protheroe, of the salon, has agreed to wield the clippers on the big day.

She said: “I think I'll really enjoy it. I've been cutting his hair on a regular basis for a while now, and it will be fun to see it all go.

“It's a really important cause for me as I know friends and family who have suffered from it, like many people, so we've been doing everything we can to get behind him.

“I've had the sponsorship form up on my mirror in the shop and trying to get everyone to sign up.”
