NEW and expectant mums and dads will get the chance to beat the recession with a special sale of 'nearly new' toys, clothes and other items.
The Redbridge branch of charity the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) will hold its 'nearly new sale' on March 27 at Christchurch Hall, Wanstead.
Parents will be able to pick up items including clothing for babies, toddlers and children at knock-down prices.
All sellers will be able to make a profit on the items they are offering, while about 27 per cent of the money raised will go to the charity.
Last year, about 350 people attended over the course of two hours and more than £6,500 was raised for the NCT.
The sale takes place from 11am to 12.30pm and entry costs £1.
It will also include homemade cakes and refreshments, which will be for sale in a cafe specially set up for the event.
