THE decision to make fox hunting illegal has been welcomed by Harlow MP Bill Rammell who said it was a "cruel, barbaric sport".
He said: "I've consistently voted in favour of a ban on fox hunting... and that the will of the majority of people in this country has finally been heard.
"I know from my constituency postbag, and in talking to people in Harlow, of the depth of feeling to see a ban enacted and I am sure that, like me, most people around here, and in the country, will be pleased to see this so-called sport finally consigned to the history books."
