A PENSIONER involved in a crash on his mobility scooter has suffered life-changing injuries.

The 65-year-old sustained a serious head injury when his scooter was involved in a crash with a motorbike at about 8.40am on Saturday.

The collision happened on Kings Head Hill, near to the junction with College Gardens.

Officers said they are reguarly contacting the Royal London Hospital, where the man is being treated, for updates on his condition.

Medical staff have said he is currently stable, but still unwell.

The motorcyclist involved was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone, suffering from pains in his legs and arms.

His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Kings Head Hill was closed until about 3.30pm while officers investigated the crash.
