A DUO of published authors kept an audience enthralled with their advice on how to write.
Katherine Budd and Pam Ng Ig Ok spoke at Loughton Methodist Church as part of the town's ongoing festival of culture.
Katherine recently published her first novel Faith, Hope & Love, while Pam is the author of The Secret Thoughts: Prose and Poems and has another book on the way.
The authors talked about their own experience of writing and also answered questions from the audience on what inspired them and how to be published.
In the second part of the event Ed Pond and local literary group The Forest Creative Writers gave a series of reading from their work.
