A LOUGHTON charity trust made over £160,000 worth of donations in the last financial year, according to a website.
Everything Epping Forest, a local website, posted that Charles S French Charitable Trust used the money to support Loughton Youth Project, Haven House Children’s Hospice in Woodford Green, and St Luke’s Hospice in Basildon.
It added that the trust, in High Road, uses its investment income to make grants worth between £1,000 and £5,000 and in 2010-11 made such grants to more than 80 charities.
Grant applications can be made in writing to William Noble, chairman, Charles S French Charitable Trust, 169 High Road, Loughton, Essex, IG10 4LF.
Charities must be registered and must have existed for more than a year.
There are no application forms but applicants are asked to provide details of the purpose for their request and enclose their charity's latest report and accounts or financial statements.
