A SUPERGROUP of sorts comprising members of The Jam, Sham 69 and The UK Subs play the Standard in Walthamstow this Thursday (October 20) under the name 'If'.

Support comes from Wideboy Generation and Common Purpose.

Tickets are £8 on the door, which swings open around 8pm.

The venue is in Blackhorse Lane opposite Blackhorse Road Tube station.

Chariot play the club on Friday (October 21). Entry is £7.

Then it's the turn of tribute act Pink Floyd Dimension to perform there on Saturday (October 22). Tickets are £9, doors also at 8pm ish.

Folk duo Mickanora headline a Loughton Folk Club gig in aid of Amnesty International this Thursday (October 20).

This act, otherwise known as Mick Turner and Nora Kelson, play sing-along tunes backed by guitar, mandolin and concertina.

Entry is £3 and it's at the Loughton Club in Station Road. Doors are at 8pm. A fund-raising raffle for Amnesty will also be held.

Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a singaround jam night on Monday (October 24). It's £1.50p and doors are at 8.30pm.

Michael Chapman and Rita Hosking take to the stage at Walthamstow Folk Club this Sunday (October 23).

Expect a mix of folk, country, blues, bluegrass and Americana.

The show is at Ye Olde Rose and Crown pub in Hoe Street, with admission costing £7, or £6 for concessions.

Doors open at 7.30pm.

Bob Martin and Steve Fishwick play the East Side Jazz Club in Leytonstone on Tuesday (October 25).

Entry to the club, which is at the Lord Rookwood Pub, is usually around £5 on the doors, which open around 8.30pm.

The Square in Harlow hosts an acoustic club jam night on Sunday (October 23).

It's hosted by Keeler's Walk.

Entry is £3 and it kicks off at 8pm, although spots are limited. Over 16s only.
