A CARE home in North Weald has been shortlisted for a national award.
Cunningham House in Pike Way, North Weald, has been nominated for a national Dementia Care Award for the seascape it has created for residents, complete with seagull and wave sound-effects.
The Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Liverpool on November 2.
A spokeswoman for Abbeyfield Houses, who run the home, said: “The residents love the area, it brings many back to their childhood when they visited the seaside.”
