ARTISTS from Epping held a joint exhibition with their fellow artists from Eppingen, Germany, to mark thirty years of the towns being twinned.

Visitors enjoyed a range of work at the exhibition in St John’s Church, Epping, including still lives, portraits and ceramics.

Epping Art Society and the Epping Eppingen Twinning Association collaborated to organise the event.

Mike Crutch, of Epping Art Society, said: “I think what really stood out for me about the exhibition was the range of styles.

“There was some excellent work by the artists from Germany, including some beautiful floral scenes, and the event really helps to bring the communities together.

“We have held joint exhibitions before but this year people said that the standard was amazing. We had a lot of younger artists enquiring about joining the society as well, which was fantastic.”
