THE condition of the man who fell on to the A406 yesterday is described as stable.
The man, who is thought to be in his 60s, was rushed to the Royal London Hospital after he fell from a footpath which runs alongside the Waitrose supermarket in the High Road, South Woodford.
The A406 was shut for two hours and reopened just before 12.30pm.
It is thought the man was suffering from head injuries as a result of the fall.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
