AN EXHIBITION has been launched illustrating the wide range of sports enjoyed in Waltham Forest.
The show, called Taking Part, features sports clubs in Waltham Forest specialising in disciplins such as archery, athletics, weightlifting and wrestling.
The 144 images of 48 clubs were taken by 13 members of photography group Image17 after a commission from Waltham Forest Council.
Photographer Nicola Tree came up with the concept.
She said: "Waltham Forest is one of the host boroughs for the greatest show on earth.
There's an enormous variety of sports played by all ages, and we wanted to highlight this and bring the Olympic Games to a relevant local level."
The exhibition at Walthamstow Central Library in High Street, Walthamstow, is on until September 16.
