Members of a synagogue have joined forces with a charity to discuss possible solutions to the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.

Over 50 members of the Woodford Liberal Synagogue in Marlborough Road, South Woodford, gathered on Tuesday to welcome international charity One Voice.

One Voice is a movement which works towards resolution and builds towards a permanent agreement between Israel and Palestine, with the hope of ensuring security and peace for both sides.

The evening commenced with an introduction from Rabbi Richard Jacobi, followed by talks from three representatives from the charity, including Sharon Alsoodani from One Voice Europe, Natasha Abeer who is based in Ramallah and Gaza City, and Danielle Cumpton, who is based in Tel Aviv.

They each spoke about the situations they come across doing their job on a day-to-day basis and how they deal with them, before members of the synagogue came forward to ask questions.
