The Premier League is understood to be happy with the first weekend of VAR tests in the Premier League.
Five of Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs were the subject of tests which showed that only one decision would have been overruled had the system been in use.
Leroy Sane’s disallowed goal in Manchester City’s 3-0 defeat of Fulham would have stood if VAR had been active during the matches.
Premier League club’s voted against using VAR this season, but the league is hopeful it can be introduced from next season should further testing prove successful.
VAR will, though, be used in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup games which are being played at Premier League stadiums this season.
