Former Watford head coach Slavisa Jokanovic has been sacked by Fulham after overseeing a torrid start to the Premier League campaign.
The Serbian will be replaced by Claudio Ranieri, with the Italian taking over with the club rooted to the foot of the Premier League table with just five points from 12 games this term.
Jokanovic led the Hornets back into the Premier League with promotion from the Championship in 2015, but left his post by mutual consent before the following campaign got underway.
His departure from Craven Cottage comes as little surprise after the London club spent north of £100 million in the summer transfer window and saw little return on that investment.
Ranieri’s firs task will be arresting Fulham’s worrying slump in form which has seen them lose seven games on the spin.
He returns to the Premier League for the first time since leaving Leicester City where he won the title in 2016.
