Dagenham and Redbridge have completed the emergency loan signing of Queens Park Rangers striker Troy Hewitt.

The 21-year-old joined the Premier League side from Harrow Borough in February but has only made once appearance for Rangers.

Daggers manager John Still is delighted to have brought the striker to the club as he looks to improve the side’s firepower.

Speaking to the Dagenham official website Still said: “He's a young boy who we looked at when he was at Harrow Borough. He went to Queens Park Rangers but we've kept our eye on the situation.

"He's a local boy from Ilford which helps. We always felt he was a player who might go on to progress from non-league football.

"As I say unfortunately he went to QPR but the chance has now come up to take him for a month and we think it's a good move for both parties."

Hewitt has been handed the number 38 and will be looking to make his first appearance against Crewe Alexandra this Saturday.
