Waltham Forest maintained their impressive form in Ryman Division One North when they beat landlords Ilford 4-3.
The victory was the Stag’s seventh in nine league matches and they took just seven minutes to get themselves in front – Manu Dagher grabbing his third goal of the season.
It was 2-0 on 23 minutes when Jamie Moore grabbed his first goal for Forest, but Ilford hit back straightaway through Raphael Kaphouris.
Forest took a two-goal lead into the break though when on the half hour Joel Palmer scored his fourth of the season.
Ilford replied again on 71 minutes but Dagher got his second of the game shortly after to make it 4-2.
The visitors hit back again deep into injury time but it was not enough to halt the Stags’ charge as they moved up to second in the table.
Forest have been handed a dream tie in the Essex Senior Cup after they were drawn away at League Two side Southend United.
