Eton Manor bounced back from defeat in their last game to record a comfortable 28 – 12 home win against Braintree.

Manor owe a lot to the Reed brothers as all the home side’s points were scored by the three siblings.

It was a slow start to the contest by the hosts and Braintree enjoyed a lot of possession in the early stages and went ahead with a converted try.

The home side responded to going behind and Reese Reed converted a penalty to get Manor on the scoreboard.

Braintree then missed a penalty of their own which proved costly as Lee Reed bundled over the line minutes later for a converted try and a half time lead for Manor.

In the second period Manor finally began to find their rhythm but had the visitors been more clinical on the attack it may have been a different story.

Reese Reed scored a penalty to give Manor some breathing space before he added a converted try after good work from a scrum.

Five minutes later Reese Reed again scored another penalty to ensure that Braintree had to score twice to win.

In the closing stages of the contest Francois Nel broke into the visitors defences and passed to Lee Reed who in turn fed Kevin Reed who battled his way over the line to score an unconverted try.

In the final five minutes Manors' Max Murray was yellow carded and Braintree used the power play to grab a late consolation.
