Roman Pavlyuchenko’s agent claims the striker will join Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala unless a better offer is received in January.

The 30-year-old has been restricted to just four substitute appearances in the Premier League this season and is thought to be unhappy at a lack of playing time at White Hart Lane.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp recently admitted he would like to keep the Russian but the striker has been linked with a number of clubs, with his representative, Oleg Artemov, now confirming a firm offer from Anzhi.

Artemov told Tden.ru: “He wasn’t against going back to Russia, but not to the Makhachkala-based team, but Pavlyuchenko is tired of the uncertainty and the lack of match action.

“He has a concrete offer from Anzhi in his hand.”

He added: “Roman will accept it unless he gets a better offer.”
