It’s been another busy week for East London Runners with more than 20 of the club’s members in action at the Orion Forest Five event on Saturday.

Leading home the Runners was Patrick Brown who secured seventh place with a time of 29.43.

Mark Boulton was next over the line and he stopped the clock on 30.38 to take 11th place.

Manjit Bedi (31.08) crossed the line for 13th while James Wilson’s time of 32.59 was enough to take 26th.

Manjit Singh (34.30), Paul Tompson (34.36) and Derek Wright (34.41) were separated by less than 30 seconds to claim 36th, 38th and 39th respectively. Andrew Baxter came home in 35.28 for 45th position while Richard Potter was 60th in 36.32.

One place behind Potter was Russell Price (36.33) while Kate Mercer (37.02) secured 67th place.

Richard Guest stopped the clock on 37.07 for 70th place while Emmet Fitzgibbon returned with 83rd plcea in 37.59.

Also completing the course was Jonathan Wooldridge, George Georgiou, Chloe Longstaff, Keiran Brown, Tricia O'Neill, Sarah Burns, David Wyatt and Fiona Day.

Meanwhile, Brendan O'Grady took first place at the Wanstead Flats park run with 16.59 while there was a new course personal best for John Atkinson (25.15) who secured 16th.

Caroline Meaby (25.21) was 17th while one place behind was Roger Stubbs who took 18th with 25.23 in his first park run. At the Valentine’s Park 5k Ryan Levart took 12th in 22.40 while Mary Connolly (27.35) was 16th at the Barking 5k.
