Ross Embleton has called on Leyton Orient’s supporters to continue the positive energy inside Brisbane Road when the O’s take on Barnet this weekend.

Orient currently sit in third place in the National League table following an unbeaten start to the campaign and have won their last three games on home turf against Boreham Wood, Dover Athletic as well as Solihull Moors.

In fact, Orient’s form at the Breyer Group Stadium has been strong under head coach Justin Edinburgh since the turn of the year, with the East London side losing just three home games in 2018 so far.

The O’s have been well supported on home turf once again this campaign, but they will face a tough test when John Still’s Barnet travel to Brisbane Road on Saturday.

After a slow start to the season, Barnet are one of the form sides in the division at the moment having won their last five on the bounce and assistant coach Embleton has not been surprised by their upturn in fortunes.

“I think everybody knew that a John Still team would not continue on that run of form after a slow start,” he said.

“He knows the league inside out and as well as anybody and has signed a lot of good players over the summer. He obviously had some good players there off the back of where they’ve come from last season and I think it was a case of being able to gel those players.

"We all know as well as everybody after last year that it’s very difficult to sign a lot of players and make sure it works. It was always going to take time."

On Orient's home form, Embleton added: “Our home form is massive. Everybody has said about the real feel good feeling around the squad but you can feel the positivity around the stadium. When there has been a few lulls in the game, which happens in every game of football, the crowd have been there to give us a real lift.

“Hopefully the fans will come in their numbers and we’ll see more Orient fans at the weekend because it’s a big game. I think it’s another little addition that both clubs are coming into some good form and it’s a big game in terms of the locality of it.

"We’d like to think that we’ll have that same positive backing again and hopefully it can see us through for another week.”
