Justin Edinburgh said he had “no second thought” about extending his stay as Leyton Orient head coach after signing a new two-and-a-half year deal.
The contract rewards the 49-year-old’s work in guiding the O’s to the top of the National League, having taken over in November 2017 with the club languishing in 20th place in the table.
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender helped steady the ship, guiding Orient to more than safety as they finished in 13th place last season, and the upward trajectory has continued to the stage where the O’s have picked up 57 points from 29 games to date this term.
Edinburgh told the club website: "It was an easy decision for me to sign this extension, there was no second thought, it was just when can we get it done and how long can it be for. I don't think I have been happier for many a year now."
Chairman Nigel Travis added: "Justin has demonstrated in the last 13 months what a great leader he is for Leyton Orient Football Club. We are absolutely delighted that he has agreed to extend his stay with us and I believe this will have a very positive impact on the club as a whole. “
