Leyton Orient will retain their right to run an academy should they regain their Football League status at the end of the season, the club have confirmed.
This comes after meetings with the Football League in which it was agreed that the club can continue to run their Category 3 academy if they achieve promotion from the National League.
If this is not achieved, the club will lose their right to an academy as they will have been outside the EFL for more than two years.
In this event, the club say their intention is to create a bespoke college programme for 16-18 year olds, but that they will provide further details once their league status for next season is determined.
