Justin Edinburgh said there is “no easy game in this league” prior to Leyton Orient’s trip to Sutton United tomorrow.

The O’s sit at the top of the National League once again after producing a thrilling comeback to beat Eastleigh 3-2 on Tuesday night, but Edinburgh is well aware of the difficulty his side will face at Gander Green Lane.

Speaking after Tuesday’s win, he said: “I always say there’s no easy game in this league and they had a good result themselves at the weekend. We know what’s required to go and get a result and that’s what we’ll be trying to do.”

“The mood has been good recently. Obviously we were disappointed with results in the previous week in terms of the points that we got but I still believe the performances were there and if we continue to perform like that then we know we’re going to be alright.”

Orient welcomed Sam Ling back to the starting line-up in the week, which allowed Alex Lawless to move back into midfield after covering the position in his absence, and Edinburgh is hopeful that more of his sidelined players can make an appearance at the weekend.

When asked if Jobi McAnuff would be ready for the clash, he said: “Possibly. I’d like to hope so.”

He continued: “[Jamie] Turley hopefully as well. Going into it how we expect to at the moment then we’ll have a fully fit squad to select from.”
