Joe Widdowson is expected to return to the fold for Leyton Orient’s trip to Walsall tomorrow.

The left-back has missed the last four games through injury, last appearing in the 1-1 draw away at Oldham Athletic.

Louis Dennis could also be pushing for a place having been on the treatment table recently, as could Conor Wilkinson who dropped out of the squad against Cambridge United just minutes before kick-off.

Speaking after Sunday’s draw at Newport County, interim head coach Ross Embleton said: “It’s been a really difficult one with Joe. He went for a scan within the last couple of days and that reassured us that the injury wasn’t getting any worse which is something we were concerned about because we expected to see him return quite quickly.

“Conor has trained back at the training ground in the last couple of days and Louis was here with us today. I’m expecting Louis to start pushing for a place in the squad and the team over the next few days, but there’s a little bit of a list there in terms of the boys we’re trying to get through.”
