George Marsh’s development in his time on loan from Tottenham Hotspur has been a huge positive for new Leyton Orient head coach Ross Embleton.

The 21-year-old joined the O’s on a six-month loan at the start of the season and that deal was extended to the end of the campaign earlier this week.

Marsh has gone onto make 18 appearances for the O’s since his debut against Southend United in the Leasing.com Trophy, and Embleton is happy with the progress he has made.

He said: “With George, he’s developed really well in what has been his first loan period. I think sometimes when lads come out on loan from Premier League clubs the first one can be a bit of a nothing loan for them, but George hasn’t done that, he’s taken the opportunity really well.

“He didn’t get in the team straight away but he showed real professionalism and maturity to play his way into the team and now that he’s got in I think he’s put in some really good performances so I’m delighted to have him again for the second half of the season.”
