Louis Dennis and Conor Wilkinson could return for Leyton Orient tomorrow when they take on Grimsby Town, according to Ross Embleton.

Dennis has been on the sidelines for a number of weeks now, while Wilkinson dropped out of the squad against Cambridge United back in December just minutes before kick off due to a leg problem.

Head coach Ross Embleton said: “We’ve had a good period without a game so people like Louis Dennis who have come back into the squad of late have had more time to get sharper and up to scratch.

“Conor Wilkinson has had very much the same, he’s had a lot more time out on the training pitch, he’s been involved with the group a lot more, so I’m expecting them to be very close for the weekend.”

The game looks to have come too soon for Joe Widdowson, though, despite some improvement in his condition.

Embleton said: “Joe Widdowson is not quite where we want him to be at the moment, albeit there are positive signs for him and we hope to see him back very soon.

“Outside of that, Dean Brill we know is going to be out for a long time, Jobi McAnuff, Sam Ling are going to be out for an extended period of time.

“The ones we felt are going to be close are those three and we’re making strides with them and we’ll see how well and how far we get as we get closer to the weekend.”
