For the second weekend in a row, East London Runners had athletes competing out as far as the USA.

After the success of those taking part in the Boston Marathon, both Danny Wong and Roselin Boramakot took part in the Detroit Marathon on Sunday, the latter completing both events.

Wong completed the race in 5:21.21 while Boramakot, understandably not matching her personal best time of 4:27.13 from Chicago just a week prior, came in shortly after at 5:25.40.

Also abroad for ELR this weekend were Mark Boulton, Colin Dryland and Stephen Swan, with the former two completing the Amsterdam Marathon and the latter completing the half marathon on Sunday.

Boulton came 299th overall with a time of 2:49.07, Dryland finished 7442nd (4:00.52), and Swan completed the half event in 1:49.00, earning 3702nd place.

Closer to home, there was plenty of club representation at Event 1 of the Sunday XC League in Cheshunt as 25 members took part.

Thomas Grimes was the first across for ELR in a time of 28.23 and coming seventh out of 462 finishers, while James Henry and Mark Moir were in close proximity with times of 29.55 (27th) and 31.53 (76th) respectively.

At the Chelmsford Marathon, Regis Martin crossed the line with a time of 3:22.46, coming 72nd overall, Robert Dixon followed with 3:47.31 (174th) and less than 10 seconds behind was Nathaniel Dye in 3:47.42 (178th).

Joanna Neville completed the Chiswick Half Marathon in 1:59.13 (454th) while John Healy’s Great South Run time came ion at 1:24.33, earning him 3544th place.

Finally, Catriona Hoult finished the Yorkshire Marathon in 4:41.15, and there were two representatives at the Herts Riverside Half Marathon as Joseph Gunn came second overall finishing in a time of 1:25.15, while Juliet Lopez-Real finished 244th, earning a time of 2:25.55.
