Three athletes from East London Runners were in attendance at the Watford Half Marathon on Sunday afternoon.

David Jordan was the first of ELR’s members to finish and came sixth overall, recording a time of 1:13.20.

Amit Marks came 428th at the event with a time of 1:42.17, and Veronica Carrasco crossed in 2:01.02, placing 901st.

Three more athletes were also at a half marathon on the same day, this time at Great Bentley in Essex.

Andrew Baxter recorded a time of 1:29.47 to finish 102nd overall, Peter Hatley timed 1:36.00 and came 155th and Jonathan Woolridge was 827th in a time of 1:51.53.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Steven Bywater came 181st at the Mornington Chasers Regents Park 10km, recording a time of 50.58 and Thomas Grimes came sixth at the Dash for the Splash 10km on Wimbledon Common, timing 41.00.

On Saturday, Gail Edwards secured a personal best time of 53.25 at the QEOP 10km, coming 190th overall.

Saturday also saw Event 6 of the Chingford League take place with a five mile race at Victoria Park.

Patrick Brown (28.19), John Henry (29.38 pb) and Euan Brown (30.10) were the first to finish for ELR, placing 22nd, 34th and 41st respectively.

Next across was Billy Rayner (53rd) in a time of 30.43, shortly followed by Mark Moir (63rd) in a personal best time of 31.08, and Tom Howourth (73rd), who debuted with 31.55, a personal best time.

Three more personal bests followed from Jacob Stevens (33.00, 94th), Neil Gage (33.16, 98th) and William O’Donnoghue (33.56, 115th).

Louis Le Roux’s time of 34.03 earned him 118th spot, while Michael Bamford was not far behind with a personal best time of 34.25, earning him 126th.

Caroline Frith was the next across for ELR, coming 149th in a time of 35.25, and she was followed by Amit Marks (35.36, 152nd), Becky Evans (35.46 pb, 156th), Stuart Hodson (36.23, 165th), Chloe Millan (36.32 pb, 166th) and Vinesh Kumar (36.49 pb, 171st).

Kasia Stachowiak, Ged Browne and Michael Wilson were the last three to make it in the first 200 finishers, earning times of 37.57 pb, 37.59 and 38.00 respectively.

Samir Younsi then recorded a personal best of 39.02 to earn 204th place, and he was followed by Maud Hodson (39.32, 211th), Catriona Hoult (40.21 pb, 218th), Mark Durrant (40.30 pb, 221st) and Brian Crowther (40.53 pb, 229th).

Alex Jameson (41.16, 235th), Anne-Marie Kennedy (42.16 pb, 244th) and Catherine Brett (43.03 pb, 254th) were the next to finish, closely preceding Tina Bennett (43.05 pb, 254th), Debbie Shearing (43.36 pb, 260th) and Martin Quinlan (43.37 pb, 261st).

Finally, Fiona Day and Claire Emery finished 279th and 281st respectively, earning times of 45.32 and 45.59, and they were followed by Alexandra Rutishauser-Perrera (47.40, 289th), Grace Turner (47.40 pb, 290th), Isabella Allan (47.45 pb, 291st) and Rachel Le Roux (47.55, 293rd).
