NEW Spurs signing Roman Pavlyuchenko is going to be a big hit in the Premier League, according to boss Juande Ramos.

The Russian forward - who was instrumental in his country's path to the semi-finals at Euro 2008 - was snapped up from Spartak Moscow for £13.8 million on transfer deadline day.

And he immediately walked into praise from Ramos, who hailed the 26-year-old as the complete footballer.

"He can do different jobs for the team. He can play with his back to goal, win it in the air, is strong, quick and technically very good," explained Ramos, who also signed Vedran Corluka and Frazier Campbell on Monday.

The Spaniard also revealed that he will be quick to teach Pavlyuchenko English in a bid to get him up and running with the English way of life as quickly as possible.

"We hope he can adapt as soon as possible and we're going to help Roman as much as possible. I'm going to teach him English," said Ramos.

"I think football has an international language. I'm sure he will be extremely comfortable here.

"Our job is to make sure he can achieve the same level at Tottenham as he demonstrated at Euro 2008 with Russia."

Tottenham bolstered their defensive options by signing Croatian defender Corluka from Manchester city for £8.5 million on a six-year deal.

The 22-year-old defender, who joins compatriot Luka Modric at White Hart Lane after one season at Eastlands, said: "I am delighted to be here and join such a big club with huge ambitions and great players.

"Also my friend Modric is here so its perfect for me."
