West Ham United have reportedly set their sights on Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz as they look to strengthen their strikeforce.

According to Eurosport TR, the Hammers are poised to make a £7 million offer for the forward who scored 22 goals his Turkish club last season.

New United boss Slaven Bilic was an admirer of the 29-year-old during his time at Beskitas and told Lig TV: “Yilmaz is a player who has scored over 60 goals in his last two seasons [so] of course I think he is a very good striker.”

The forward was a key player during Galatasaray’s Champions League run to the quarter-finals in 2013, scoring eight goals in nine games.

Yilmaz has four years left on his current deal at the Turk Telekom Arena.
