Arsenal’s Lucas Perez could be the latest player to join a revitalized West Ham this summer, with the Hammers reportedly eyeing up a move for the Spaniard.

Versatile Perez, who can play up front or out wide, is apparently a target for the Irons after their reported pursuit of Porto’s Yacine Brahimi was halted after personal terms could not be agreed.

The 29-year-old has endured a tough time at the Emirates Stadium, largely being restricted to substitute appearances since his arrival in 2016.

Perez secured a temporary move away from Arsenal last summer when he joined former club Deportivo La Coruna on loan and he went on to enjoy a good season for the Spanish outfit, scoring nine goals in 37 appearances in all competitions.

The versatile winger has a decent scoring record for Arsenal as well, with seven goals in 21 appearances to his name in all competitions, but it appears that his Gunners career could be over, after he did not travel with the squad for their final pre-season friendlies against Chelsea and Lazio.

West Ham are now thought to be eyeing up a deal to sign Perez this summer, who is reportedly valued at £5m, as they bid to continue their summer recruitment drive, which has seen them secure deals for Felipe Anderson, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Issa Diop among others.
