West Ham United have rejected an offer for striker Marko Arnautovic.
BBC Sport reports that an unnamed Chinese club submitted a bid of €22 million (£19.7 million) but that the Hammers regard the offer derisory, hence their immediate rejection.
It was reported earlier today that the Austrian had handed in a transfer request amid interest from a Chinese side, much like in the January transfer window when West Ham received multiple bids from unnamed clubs in the league, believed to be Shanghai SIPG and Ghangzhou Evergrande.
The 25-year-old signed a new four-year contract at the club after those bids were turned down, saying that he was “happy to stay”.
BBC Sport understands that the club feel as though he should honour that deal.
