West Ham will make the trip to Oxford United in the Carabao Cup third round.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side secured their place in last night’s draw after goals from Jack Wilshere and summer signing Pablo Fornals gave them a 2-0 win at Newport County on Tuesday night.
Their reward is a trip to League One Oxford, who produced a superb late fightback to knock Millwall out on penalties on the same night.
The U’s were 2-0 down with three minutes of normal time remaining, but a goal from Mark Sykes and a James Henry penalty sent the round two tie to a shootout which Karl Robinson’s men won 4-2.
The third round ties will be played in the week beginning September 23.
