A host of sports clubs are offering free taster sessions over the next two months to encourage people to be more active.
Give it a GO 2012 will see sports clubs opening their doors for free to new participants between February 13 and March 31. There are activities on offer to suit all ages and abilities with sports ranging from football, rugby and tennis to street dance, judo and athletics.
The unique project has been funded through the FreeSport strand of the Mayors Sport Legacy programme and has been coordinated by PRO-ACTIVE North London alongside the four North London Sport Development teams at Enfield, Haringey, Waltham Forest and Barnet Council.
PRO-ACTIVE North London Director Adrian Ledbury said: "It’s great to see the Mayor's Office continuing their pledge to support and sustain community sport in the capital by funding Give it a Go 2012 in North London.
"We have a real opportunity to leave a lasting community sports legacy for London post Olympic games and we are very lucky to have the support of the Mayor in trying to achieve this task."
With less than 200 days until the London Olympic and Paralympic Games, this is the perfect opportunity for families, workplaces and friends to be part of the build up and legacy of the 2012 Games as well as becoming more active in their local community.
